Billy Martin – (b. 5/16/1928) 1953 Babe Ruth Award; All-star in 1956; Won four championships as a player and a fifth while managing the Yankees.
Casey Martin – (b. 6/02/1972) In spite of suffering from a birth defect in his left leg known as Klippel Trenaunay Weber syndrome was three times all Pac-10 and was a member of Stanford University’s NCAA-champion 1994 team. He attained a career highlight by finishing tied for 23rd at the U.S. Open, and even briefly contended for the lead.
Charles Martin (b. 8/31/1959) was a professional American football player, who was was most (in)famous for causing a season-ending injury to Chicago Bears starting quarterback Jim McMahon on 1986-11-23, an event that many fans blame for their failure to defend the 1985 Super Bowl title. A reference to this hit was made during his eulogy.

Jim Martin – (b. 4/8/1924) A linebacker and placekicker who played fourteen seasons in the National Football League, mainly for the Detroit Lions. He was selected to the Pro Bowl after the 1961 season. He was an All-American at Notre Dame and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1995.

Slater Martin – (b. 10/22/1925) NBA Player and Coach. A member of five NBA World Championship teams and played in seven All-Star games. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame on May 3, 1982 in Springfield, Massachusetts.
